CCDS raised over $600 for our charity, Make A Wish Foundation.

CCDS was presented the SPIRIT OF DANCE AWARD in honor of sportsmanship, attitude, and respect for the art of dance and those who practice it.

The award for the Most Entertaining act of the day went to “Christmas Can Can”

Overall Solo Winners were Abigail Aziz (Petite), Veronica Olszowy (Teen), and John Long (Senior).

Group Overall Winners included "From Here" and "State of Emergency"

 

DANCE MASTERS OF AMERICA - CHAPTER 17

Casey Gilson was named Petite Miss Dance.  Casey will travel to Orlando this summer to represent Chapter 17 at Nationals.

Casey Gilson, Courtney Lapenta, and Vanessa Wallace all competed in the title pageant, and gave outstanding performances. Courtney was names 2nd Runner Up to Teen Miss Dance. Both Courtney and Casey won the jazz scholarship in their age divisions.

Miss Tiffany choreographed the opening number for the title pageant, featuring all the contestants and title winners from last year.

Our own JOHN LONG, 2010 MR DANCE gave his farewell speech and performance.

Overall Solo winners included Abigail Aziz and Courtney Darlington.

Overall Group winners included "Haven't Met You Yet", "From Here", "Move, Dance, Be Born", and "Super Heroes"

The following dancers were invited to perform in the opening number at Nationals: Rachel Bastianelli, Courtney Darlington, Casey Gilson, Cassidy Gross, Courtney Lapenta, John Long

Special Judges Awards went to: "Mary's Magic" - Total Package Award, "Who's Your Daddy, Part Deux" - Swagger Award, Abigail Aziz - Ms Broadway, Casey Gilson - Sassy Personality, Cassidy Gross - Working Overtime Award, Emily Ruby - Disney Darling

Overall Soloists were: Abigail Aziz (Shooting Star), John Long (All Star)

Overall Group was: Super Heroes

CCDS was awarded the Overall Technical Excellence Award, as well as the Studio Spirit Award.

Miss Jenn won the Overall Xcalibur Award for State of Emergency (ages 13 and up)

Miss Tiffany won the Overall Xcalibur Award for Haven't Met You Yet (Novices)

Miss Tiffany won all 3 of the Most Entertainment Awards - Marry Me (Novice), Fat Like That (Junior), Super Heroes (Senior)

John Long won Mr. DanceXplosion, and was also the highest scoring act of the day

Courtney Darlington won Miss Teen DanceXplosion

Special Judges went to "Circus", "Who's Your Daddy", John Long, Abigail Aziz, and Rachel Bastianelli
