Ballet is the foundation of all dancing. It provides the grace, poise and technique needed to be proficient in other area of dance and acrobatics. Dancers progress at an individual pace and will work on age appropriate ballet technique.
At Chris Collins Dance Studio we offer levels from Pre Ballet to Advance Professional.
Dancers from ages 8-11 start to learn the vocabulary of ballet to build a stronger technical base. Dancers work on basic barre technique along with motor skills while still instilling the love of dance.

Dancers from ages 13-18 beginning to master ballet technique with a focus on more intricate steps. Dancers increase their quality of movement, technique, performance and artistry.

Students are only permitted to start pointe when the ballet teacher is confident they are ready. The studio becomes a stage in Variation class as students learn excerpts from classical ballets. Class is taught to present dancers with the keys for transforming technique into art.
Prerequisite: Students from ages 13 – 18 must be enrolled in Ballet and Pointe. Placement will be evaluated by the Director of ballet in order to determine proper placement.
